Overview
Fraser Health seeks a dynamic Local Department Head for Medical Imaging at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, BC. This leadership role reports to the Regional Department Head and involves coordinating departmental functions while participating in the Multidisciplinary Healthcare Coordinating Committee (MHCC). The position offers the opportunity to drive transformational change in medical imaging services within Canada's heart of health care.
Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate activities of Medical Imaging department members • Drive complex organizational change initiatives across health service programs • Integrate innovative medical education approaches and creative patient care models • Incorporate program requirements within the broader health delivery system context • Operate effectively within matrix reporting structures • Oversee service delivery planning, budgeting, staffing, quality assurance, and strategic initiatives • Provide senior-level communication and presentation leadership • Champion best practices in health program leadership
Requirements
• Current CPSBC licensure with minimum two years healthcare leadership experience • Management training preferred • Proven track record in senior leadership roles managing complex organizational transformation • Strong abilities in integrating and leading innovative change initiatives • Demonstrated expertise in planning concepts for service delivery, budgetary management, and strategic development • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with senior leadership experience • Active practice in Medical Imaging • CPSBC Full, FRCPC qualifications required • Member of Department of Medical Imaging at Abbotsford Regional Hospital (primary site) • Academic leadership background considered an asset
