Responsibilities : We are in search of a Developer Advocate to enhance our JAPAC Advocacy team, located in Tokyo. In this role, you will focus on content creation and community engagement through events, livestreams, product initiatives, and one-on-one interactions with our sales team. As a Developer Advocate at Figma, you will utilize your hands-on experience in modern product development to represent user needs within our organization.
Your role will combine technical expertise, communication skills, and a strong understanding of product dynamics.
Your key responsibilities will include: - Collaborating closely with Sales and GTM teams: Participate in customer interactions, assist technical teams in overcoming challenges, and support significant deals involving Dev Mode, design systems, and the Figma API. - Leading regional technical representation: Be a key figure at JAPAC field events and engagements, showcasing Figma to developer communities. - Creating tangible solutions: Develop production-quality demos, prototypes, and tools that accurately depict how contemporary teams operate. - Producing scalable technical content: Write guides, code samples, and technical stories that facilitate developers' adoption of Figma in real-world scenarios. - Shaping product development: Convey structured feedback from customers and the community to influence product direction, helping refine features during and after their launch. - Integrating design and development: Aid teams in streamlining workflows involving design systems, tokens, and developer tools.
Requirements : We would like to hear from candidates who possess: - Over 5 years of technical front-end experience (with a proven track record of committing code to production-level environments). - Proficiency in English (and ideally one additional language). - Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities. -
Experience in developing technical content and delivering presentations. - Familiarity with product development processes, particularly in collaboration with design teams. - A background in growth-oriented SaaS companies.
