**Overview**
The Department of the Army seeks a skilled Information Technology Applications Specialist to join their team at Scott AFB, Illinois. This GS-13 level position requires specialized federal experience and is open to candidates meeting specific employment authority categories including disabled veterans, current Army civilians, military spouses, individuals with disabilities, and various priority placement programs.

Responsibilities **
• Lead acquisition lifecycle management by identifying, analyzing, and resolving both technical and contractual challenges to ensure program success • Provide expert technical guidance and strategic recommendations to program managers throughout all acquisition phases from initial development to full deployment • Design, develop, and conduct testing of IT systems and software applications utilizing Agile methodologies to support mission-critical operations • Present comprehensive technical briefings, detailed reports, and executive-level presentations to both internal teams and external stakeholders, communicating project progress, potential risks, and actionable recommendations

Requirements **
• One year of specialized experience at the GS-12 federal level or equivalent • Demonstrated expertise in IT acquisition lifecycle processes and program management • Proven experience with Agile software development methodologies • Strong technical background in IT systems design, development, and testing • Excellent communication skills with ability to deliver high-level presentations • Must demonstrate four core IT competencies: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving •
Experience may include paid/unpaid work, volunteer service through programs like Peace Corps or AmeriCorps • Must meet eligibility requirements for one of the specified employment authority categories
Candidates must provide documentation proving eligibility category qualification. All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be considered.
Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (full-time)
