About The Team

The payments industry is evolving swiftly, and our team is leading this transformation. Depending on your location, payment methods can vary widely—from credit cards in the U.S. to iDeal in the Netherlands and UPI in India, among many others. The Local Payment Methods team is tasked with driving Stripe's most rapidly expanding payment business. We develop payment solutions that not only boost revenue for businesses but also facilitate their growth. Additionally, we construct the underlying platform that allows us to create and scale these payment methods effectively.

Your Role

As an Engineering Manager at Stripe, you will play a pivotal role in the success of your team. You will actively engage in engineering and design processes while providing coaching, mentorship, and leadership. With a focus on user experience, you will guide your team through the development of technical solutions and ensure seamless communication with other teams and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Empower your team to navigate a variety of systems, processes, and technologies to take ownership of problems from start to finish.
• Assist the engineering team in creating solutions for businesses ranging from rapidly growing startups to established global companies, enabling them to focus on their operations without tax concerns.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders across product, design, infrastructure, marketing, and operations.
• Lead and manage workflows to help the team perform at its best and engage efficiently with the wider Stripe organization.
• Recruit talented engineers in partnership with Stripe’s hiring team.
• Support the professional development of team members, helping them progress in their careers.
• Participate in company-wide engineering initiatives as a member of Stripe’s engineering management team.
