Wireless Validation Engineer - Apple - Irvine, CA

Apple's Wireless Hardware group seeks a talented engineer to join our Systems Design Validation Team in Irvine, CA. You'll play a crucial role in validating cutting-edge wireless and PHY systems, ensuring they exceed rigorous performance standards across Power Accuracy, Spurs, EVM, Sensitivity, Desense, RF/Baseband Performance, MIMO, and Coexistence. Working at the critical juncture between silicon development and system deployment, your validation expertise will directly impact the success of revolutionary wireless technologies.

**Responsibilities**

• Create and implement comprehensive testing methodologies for wireless and PHY system validation throughout development and deployment phases
• Partner with PHY, MAC, and RF design teams to define test requirements, diagnose complex technical issues, and deliver analytical insights that enhance design quality
• Work alongside system integration and testing professionals to maintain validation infrastructure, ensuring wireless systems consistently meet all performance specifications
• Contribute to the development of world-class wireless connectivity solutions that connect users to their devices seamlessly

**Requirements**

**Minimum Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant industry experience
• Extensive knowledge of wireless communication systems, particularly WiFi (cellular technology background advantageous)
• Strong programming capabilities in Python, Shell scripting, and/or C/C++/C# for automation and analysis

**Preferred Qualifications:**
• Advanced degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Master's/Ph.D. preferred)
• Deep expertise in RF and baseband performance indicators and signal impairments
• Laboratory experience with silicon bring-up and wireless system validation
• Proven track record in wireless system test development and automation
• Knowledge of regulatory testing and certification processes
• Proficiency with RF testing equipment
