Overview: Yorizon GmbH & Co.KG, a leader in sustainable Green IT cloud computing solutions, is on the lookout for a System Integration Specialist to join our Berlin team. Founded in 2024, we focus on digital sovereignty, security according to European standards, and independence through open-source technologies. Responsibilities : In this role, you will be responsible for managing our core infrastructure. Your duties will include installing, configuring, and maintaining physical server, storage, and network components directly in the datacenter. You will also design modern cloud and container environments by administering our OpenStack and Kubernetes setups, monitoring pods and services to ensure smooth operations.
Additionally, you will set up high-speed networks and configure GPU servers to support AI and ML workloads. Your expertise will extend to network management, where you will implement security policies and optimize performance in the datacenter environment. Automation will be key, as you will reduce manual tasks through scripting in Python or Bash and utilize configuration management for scalable systems.
Ensuring availability is crucial; you will implement backup and disaster recovery solutions while documenting system changes for stable 24/7 operations. Collaborating closely with data scientists, DevOps teams, and architects will be part of your role as you provide compute resources and further develop our infrastructure. Additionally, you will support internal teams with complex infrastructure inquiries after proper training.
Requirements : To qualify for this position, you should have completed a vocational training as a system integration specialist or hold a comparable IT qualification. Proficiency in Linux environments (such as Ubuntu or Rocky Linux) is essential, along with a solid understanding of virtualization technologies like KVM or QEMU. Familiarity with TCP/IP, routing, and switching is expected, and experience with VLANs and network segmentation is advantageous.
A keen interest in cloud infrastructures (OpenStack) and container concepts (Kubernetes, Docker) will be beneficial.
