**Overview**
Ausenco Careers is seeking an experienced Study Manager specializing in Minerals & Metals to strengthen our growing Canadian team. Based in Victoria, BC, you'll spearhead critical early-phase mining projects while contributing to our global reputation as industry innovators. This role offers the opportunity to shape complex mining ventures from conception through initial planning stages.

Responsibilities **
• Lead comprehensive execution of PEA and PFS level studies, scoping assessments, and technical evaluations with emphasis on safety, quality, and timely delivery • Establish strategic project frameworks and oversee critical milestone tracking and key deliverables • Build and nurture productive partnerships with leadership, clients, project teams, and essential stakeholders • Orchestrate cross-disciplinary engineering initiatives ensuring seamless preparation and delivery of project outcomes • Identify, assess, and effectively communicate study risks to relevant stakeholders • Track project budgets, advancement metrics, and timeline performance while implementing corrective strategies as needed • Oversee creation of capital expenditure models and financial frameworks supporting client initiatives • Direct preparation of regulatory compliance documentation including NI 43-101 reports • Mentor Studies Team development and champion best practice methodologies through industry knowledge application
**
Requirements **
• Proven background in mining and metals, oil and gas, industrial, energy, or utilities sectors • 4-year Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification • Previous client-side or Owner's team experience preferred; EPC/EPCM project delivery or mining operations background advantageous • Study Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Lead Discipline Engineer experience in Mining & Metals sector beneficial • Strong leadership capabilities and client relationship management skills • Flexibility for travel when business needs require
