As a Staff Security Engineer on our Security Partnerships team, you'll play a pivotal role in building secure-by-design products while helping increase the GDP of the internet. Our dynamic Security team protects users' most sensitive information, making security a cornerstone of everything we create.
The Security Partnerships team empowers Stripe to develop inherently secure products through strong collaborative relationships with product teams and security engineering. We focus on early-stage design reviews, threat modeling development, impact scaling through automation, and championing security initiatives with an engineering-first mindset.
You'll collaborate closely with engineering teams to architect solutions that prioritize security by default. As a security subject matter expert, you'll communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your role involves leading threat modeling discussions, balancing security with user experience and product innovation. You'll amplify security impact by empowering teams through automation, guidance, tooling, and training while driving high-impact, cross-functional security initiatives.
You'll engage with critical initiatives including AI integration across products and security, Stripe's cryptocurrency expansion into stablecoins, enhanced payment building blocks, core products like Connect and Radar, Link consumer product development, security improvements for acquisitions, automated threat modeling enhancement, and security debt reduction across our product portfolio.
Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (full-time)
