Responsibilities **
As an Accountant with our team, you will analyze and review new or proposed revisions to accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and efficiency. You'll provide crucial financial operating plan data to program managers to support strategic decision-making processes. Your role includes conducting in-depth research into significant accounting issues within the organization and offering expert advice and solutions for complex accounting situations.

Requirements **
To qualify for this position, you must meet one of the following criteria:
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution with major study in accounting, business administration, finance, or public administration, including 24 semester hours in accounting (up to 6 hours may be business law)
• Four years of accounting experience combined with college-level education and training that provided professional accounting knowledge, plus 24 semester hours in accounting or auditing
• Four years of accounting experience with professional knowledge AND current CPA or Certified Internal Auditor certification
• Substantial accounting coursework (minimum 15 semester hours) with full-performance level experience in accounting, auditing, or related fields, validated by professional panel review

Qualifications :**
For GS-12 level: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 level performing the described tasks.
For GS-13 level: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12 level.
Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (full-time)
