Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer in the United States at Airbnb

Responsibilities : As a Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer, you will take the lead in shaping the technical direction for our ML evaluation and the comprehensive data process fueling our Customer Support x Artificial Intelligence (CSxAI) initiatives. You will be responsible for establishing quality measurement standards, converting feedback into actionable learning signals, and driving continuous improvements in our models and products. Collaborating closely with product, engineering, design, and operations teams, your goal will be to create scalable, reliable evaluation systems that link offline metrics to online performance.

A typical day may include: - Analyzing large volumes of both structured and unstructured data to build, experiment with, and enhance Machine Learning models and pipelines tailored for various Airbnb applications. - Engaging with cross-functional teams, including product managers and data scientists, to pinpoint business opportunities, refine requirements, and influence engineering decisions. - Taking a hands-on approach to develop, deploy, and maintain Machine Learning models and pipelines at scale, addressing both batch and real-time scenarios. - Utilizing both third-party and proprietary Machine Learning tools and frameworks to craft reusable and high-performing ML solutions.
