Senior Financial Reporting Accountant - Remote | MRC Management Co

**Overview**

MRC Global, headquartered in Houston, Texas, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Financial Reporting team. This remote position supports a global leader serving the oil and gas industry across upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, plus chemical and gas distribution markets worldwide. You'll play a key role in preparing comprehensive financial reports while supporting consolidation processes for domestic and international operations.

**Responsibilities**

• Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting including SEC-required documents (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K)
• Develop financial statements, footnotes, MD&A sections, and supporting documentation
• Create Board of Directors and Board Committee presentation materials
• Support internal controls over financial reporting initiatives
• Analyze GAAP and SEC compliance requirements for accuracy
• Prepare internal management reporting packages
• Execute account reconciliations and prepare necessary journal entries
• Research complex transactions to determine proper accounting treatment
• Build strong relationships across departments and with external stakeholders
• Maintain workplace safety standards and report any concerns promptly

**Requirements**

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience
• CPA certification strongly preferred
• Public company background with SEC reporting experience highly valued
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across global teams and departments
• Excellence in managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
• Strong analytical abilities with comprehensive GAAP knowledge
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with ERP/consolidation systems (Oracle, Hyperion Financial Management, Enterprise Performance Management, Active Disclosure) preferred
