Overview InTalent Asia is seeking a skilled Senior Compliance Officer to oversee the DNFBPs (Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions) sector in the United States. This role is pivotal in enhancing compliance standards and fostering partnerships within the industry. Responsibilities - Drive the onboarding process for institutions in the DNFBPs sectors to increase participation. - Execute off-site examinations and conduct follow-up reviews of DNFBPs to ensure adherence to regulations. - Perform thorough risk assessments for DNFBPs to identify potential vulnerabilities. - Conduct sector studies and thematic reviews aimed at bolstering compliance monitoring practices. - Design and deliver awareness programs, capacity-building workshops, and outreach initiatives across various sectors. - Facilitate coordination with stakeholders pertinent to DNFBPs. - Assist in organizing meetings and reporting activities as needed. - Supervise DNFBP sector activities while providing essential management support. - Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) management.
Requirements - A degree or professional qualification in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Law, or a related field is essential. - Professional certifications in AML/CFT compliance, such as ACAMS or a Compliance Diploma, are preferred. - A minimum of 15 years of experience in banking, including at least 5 years specifically in AML/CFT compliance or risk management roles. Consideration will also be given to retired officers or those who have voluntarily resigned prior to retirement age with equivalent experience. - Strong proficiency in Sinhala & English or Tamil & English is required, with excellent verbal and written communication capabilities. - Ability to produce clear, concise, and well-organized reports and documentation. - Demonstrated analytical thinking skills and capacity to work effectively under pressure. - Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). - High adaptability and flexibility in fast-paced work environments.
