We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer specializing in GraphQL to enhance our innovative data access layer, Viaduct, which serves as the backbone for a significant portion of our API traffic.
Responsibilities : As part of the Viaduct team, you will play a crucial role in empowering our app developers by delivering a streamlined and effective developer experience. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and implementing robust deployment pipelines and SLO frameworks to ensure platform reliability. - Enhancing observability tooling and performance metrics to maintain Viaduct's impressive 99.99% uptime. - Contributing to the ongoing evolution of Viaduct, including the exciting launch of Viaduct Modern, which aims to set new standards in the developer experience. - Collaborating closely with various infrastructure teams and product engineers to integrate best practices in platform engineering. - Making meaningful contributions to the open-source community through your work on Viaduct, thereby impacting both internal and external developers.
Requirements : To thrive in this role, you should possess: - Proven experience in software engineering, particularly in designing and developing GraphQL interfaces. - A strong understanding of platform engineering principles and best practices. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. -
Experience with deployment pipelines, observability, and performance optimization.
