Remote Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Airbnb - Enhance Host Tools

Responsibilities : As a pivotal member of our DnA team, you will lead the charge in refining host personalization products and developing data-driven solutions to enhance the host experience. Your core responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with large volumes of structured and unstructured data to design and enhance advanced Machine Learning models tailored for various Airbnb applications. - Working alongside cross-functional teams, including software engineers and product managers, to identify impactful business opportunities, define and prioritize requirements for ML models, and make informed engineering decisions. - Prototyping machine learning applications and engaging with stakeholders for iterative feedback and requirement adjustments. - Building, optimizing, and managing Machine Learning models and pipelines at scale, ensuring both batch and real-time functionalities. - Designing and implementing APIs to facilitate the delivery of ML-driven data for product applications.

Requirements : To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in applied Machine Learning, complemented by a Master's or PhD in a relevant discipline. - Proficiency in Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision is essential. - Strong programming skills in languages such as Scala, Python, Java, or C++, along with robust data engineering capabilities. - A comprehensive understanding of Machine Learning best practices, including model training and evaluation techniques.
