Overview: Join the Business Assurance Global Finance Team at SGS, a leader in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification industry. We are seeking a Regional Controller for Europe and Global Head of FP&A to oversee financial planning and analysis (FP&A), management reporting, and controlling for our Certification business. This role includes direct management of an FP&A Manager, ensuring financial performance is met across the board.
Responsibilities : In this pivotal role, you will lead the global FP&A processes, including the establishment of budget KPIs, reforecasts, and providing monthly performance commentary alongside gap analysis. You will prepare essential deliverables for the Executive Committee, including presentations and ad hoc analyses. Collaborating closely with Heads of Regions and global functions such as Sales, Marketing, and IT, you will support leadership in financial tasks, guaranteeing high-quality outputs for strategic discussions.
Additionally, you will be involved in evaluating M&A opportunities, challenging acquisition cases, and supporting due diligence to ensure smooth integration of acquired companies with our group reporting standards. As the primary contact for Country Business managers regarding finance-related topics, you will also spearhead M&A activities, including financial due diligence and integration planning, while partnering with cross-functional teams for effective financial integration.
Requirements : The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with a preference for a Master's or professional certifications such as CPA or CFA. You should have a minimum of 15 years of extensive experience in financial controlling, FP&A, or business partnering roles, particularly within a multi-regional context. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a proven ability to effectively present financial data to senior leadership.
Advanced proficiency in financial tools and systems, such as Excel and Oracle ERP, is required. Strong organizational and leadership capabilities, coupled with a proven track record in M&A, will be crucial. Fluency in English is mandatory, with German being a significant asset.
This position allows for fully remote work from any European country, although it will require regular travel (minimum 20%).
