Payment Systems Analyst - Wire Modernization (Hybrid) - Toronto, ON

**Overview**

Cognizant is seeking a skilled Payment Systems Analyst to join our Wire Modernization initiative in Toronto. This hybrid role focuses on transforming payment processing systems while ensuring seamless business operations and data integrity across banking platforms.

**Responsibilities**

• Analyze new business requirements and conduct comprehensive business analysis for payment system modernization projects
• Examine payment transaction data to prevent business and technical data leakage across banking systems, providing strategic recommendations
• Build comprehensive understanding of application interdependencies, payment architectures, flows, and optimal business solution configurations
• Lead collaboration efforts with business partners, technology teams, and external vendors to define program-level business and technical requirements
• Evaluate detailed business requirements, documentation, process flows, and data models to support project planning including charters, deliverables, and timelines
• Create use cases and document user procedures, workflows, and system interactions for different user classes
• Troubleshoot issues impacting user experience and ensure Business Recovery Plans are established
• Integrate technical solutions within business environments while recognizing system design interdependencies
• Establish security protocols for processes, information exchange, and system implementations
• Support system implementation and production readiness through liaison with change management, IT architecture, and business stakeholders

**Requirements**

• Extensive experience with payment applications, specifically wires processing (SWIFT and FED) and ISO 20022 standards knowledge
• Strong data analytical capabilities including SQL proficiency
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as Jaspersoft or Tableau preferred
• Self-motivated professional with excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude
• Proven leadership abilities in cross-functional team environments
• Experience with large dataset analysis and manipulation
