**Overview**
The Department of the Navy seeks a skilled professional engineer to spearhead additive manufacturing initiatives for naval systems development and sustainment at our Keyport, Washington facility. This interdisciplinary role combines cutting-edge 3D printing technologies with critical defense applications.

Responsibilities **
• Lead design oversight and technical evaluation of additive manufacturing solutions for naval components and systems • Drive innovation in 3D printing applications to enhance naval capability development and long-term sustainment programs • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate advanced manufacturing processes into existing naval operations • Provide technical expertise and engineering judgment for complex manufacturing decisions impacting fleet readiness

Requirements **
• Minimum one year of specialized experience at GS-12 level or equivalent pay band in federal service, or comparable private/public sector experience • Professional engineering background with demonstrated expertise in managing additive manufacturing technology projects • Strong foundation in design principles and evaluation methodologies specific to advanced manufacturing processes •
Experience may include paid positions, volunteer work, or service through National Service programs including professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, or social organizations
