**Overview**
The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a dedicated Medical Supply Technician to join our team in Roseburg, Oregon. This GS-05 position offers an opportunity to support veteran healthcare services through efficient supply chain management and inventory operations.

Responsibilities **
You will deliver essential supplies and materials to clinical and administrative departments throughout our facility. Your duties include scanning, bar-coding, receiving, storing, and distributing medical supplies, instruments, and equipment. You'll manage stock replenishment, monitor inventory levels, track expiration dates, and maintain accurate records.
The role involves utilizing automated inventory management systems, ensuring work areas meet regulatory cleanliness standards, and providing excellent customer service by addressing supply-related inquiries from staff.

Requirements **
Candidates must meet federal time-in-grade requirements and possess specialized experience within 30 days of the April 14, 2026 closing date. Current federal employees at GS-05 level must have completed 52 weeks at GS-03 grade, demonstrated through SF-50 documentation. A valid state driver's license is mandatory.
Qualifying experience includes one year of GS-4 equivalent specialized experience in supply operations, preferably in healthcare or medical settings, involving inventory management, automated systems, and customer service. Alternatively, candidates may qualify through four years of post-secondary education from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Former federal employees seeking reinstatement and VEOA applicants must also meet time-in-grade requirements. Complete work history documentation including job titles, duties, employment dates, and weekly hours is required.
