Responsibilities In your role as a Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer at Mostavio, you will be instrumental in crafting intelligent, efficient, and manufacturable designs for our eVTOL platform. Collaborating with a diverse team, you will design and analyze components utilizing aluminum alloys and composite materials, ensuring adherence to aerospace standards for performance, safety, and weight optimization. Key responsibilities include: - Creating detailed CAD models and mechanical designs for airframe structures and mechanical subsystems. - Performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and structural simulations to validate designs against aerodynamic, static, and vibrational stresses. - Optimizing composite and aluminum structures for enhanced strength, stiffness, and weight efficiency. - Working alongside electrical, propulsion, and systems engineers to ensure cohesive integration across disciplines. - Supporting manufacturing and prototyping efforts by translating design concepts into production-ready components. - Participating in design reviews and maintaining documentation according to aerospace engineering standards. - Identifying avenues for design innovation and simplification while ensuring safety and performance are not compromised.
Requirements To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications: - A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline. - A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, structural analysis, or airframe development, preferably in aerospace or advanced mobility sectors. - Proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX software. - Familiarity with FEA tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar applications. - A solid understanding of aluminum and composite material properties, joining techniques, and fatigue analysis. - Knowledge of aerospace design principles, tolerances, and certification methodologies. - Hands-on experience in composite fabrication, layup, or prototyping is highly advantageous. - Strong problem-solving abilities, documentation skills, and a collaborative mindset.
