We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to be a pivotal part of our Networking team within the Cloud Infrastructure organization, focusing on building and maintaining the backbone of our services.
Responsibilities : As a key member of our network infrastructure team, you will collaborate with skilled engineers to work on innovative technologies within the cloud-native networking stack from Layer 3 to Layer 7. Your role will involve: - Designing, developing, and operating essential infrastructure elements that unite Airbnb users and services globally. - Spearheading significant infrastructure projects like global traffic load balancing and disaster recovery solutions. - Creating next-generation service meshes and ensuring robust cross-region gateways and edge security systems. - Partnering with open source communities, including the Cloud Native Computing Foundation, to address engineering challenges at scale and contribute to the advancement of industry standards.
Requirements : To thrive in this position, you should have: - Extensive experience in software engineering, particularly focused on network infrastructure. - Proficiency in cloud-native technologies and experience with systems like Kubernetes and Istio. - A solid understanding of network monitoring, security protocols, and scalable infrastructure design. - A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners to enhance our services.
