Responsibilities : As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of software, hardware, and operations, pushing our systems to new heights. Your key responsibilities will include: - Integrating new hardware providers into our existing system architecture. - Adapting and enhancing our proprietary locker operating system based on Debian Linux. - Implementing and testing new features directly on hardware. - Optimizing and further developing applications on embedded systems. - Establishing and integrating monitoring solutions to assist our operations team. - Analyzing error patterns and continuously improving system stability and operations. - Supporting the development and enhancement of our data platform. - Taking ownership of projects, often involving significant independent work.
Requirements : We value practical experience over formal qualifications. If you have: - A GitHub profile or similar project examples, it's a significant plus. - Strong knowledge of Python or Go, with a willingness to actively use both; Java knowledge is advantageous for understanding existing systems. - A solid foundation in Linux systems and a keen interest in hardware, with the confidence to work directly with devices. - Ideally, a background in electronics, media technology, or hardware-related development. - Excellent German and English communication skills for optimal team collaboration. - Willingness to come into the office for testing regularly (approximately 2 to 4 times a month, more during intensive phases).
Nice to Have:
Experience with automation tools like Terraform or Ansible, single-board computers like Raspberry Pi, or technologies such as OpenTelemetry or Clickhouse.
