NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is a Title 32 excepted service position that requires membership in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Requirements :
Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. 1. Experience GS-11: Must have at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization.
Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls.
Experience required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment.
Experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion. Specialized
Experience GS-12: Must have at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes applying IT security principles, methods, and practices to participate in the development of IT goals, objectives, plans and policies.
Experience planning and carrying out difficult and complex assignments and developing new methods, approaches and procedures, provides advice and guidance on a wide range and variety of complex IT issues, interprets IT policies, standards, and guidelines, conducts analyses and recommends resolution of complex issues affecting the specialty area.
Experience evaluating and recommending adoption of new or enhanced approaches to delivering IT services, tests and optimizes the functionality of systems, networks, and date and identifies and defines business or technical requirements applied to the design, development, implementation, management, and support of systems and networks.
