NOVA PICTOU CARE & BIEN ÊTRE INC. is seeking a compassionate home care worker to join our team in New Glasgow, NS. This permanent position offers 15-25 hours per week in a non-smoking environment, supporting clients in their homes with dignity and care. Candidates must be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

You'll provide comprehensive personal care including bedside assistance, medication administration, and help with bathing and personal hygiene needs. Your duties will include changing non-sterile dressings, collecting specimens, and supporting clients with feeding and mobility exercises like walking. Beyond medical support, you'll handle light housekeeping, launder clothing and linens, and maintain a clean living environment.

Additional responsibilities include grocery shopping, preparing nutritious meals, and most importantly, offering meaningful companionship to enhance clients' quality of life.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent secondary school graduation certificate. We're looking for individuals with 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience in care provision. Strong English communication skills are essential for this role.

The ideal candidate demonstrates empathy, reliability, and genuine interest in supporting others' wellbeing in their home environment.

Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (full-time)
