Responsibilities **
Successful candidates will execute critical budget, payroll, and financial management duties while applying comprehensive accounting principles and methodologies. Key functions include operating diverse accounting systems and computer platforms to manage financial records and data integrity. You'll conduct thorough reviews of reports and documentation to verify accuracy and proper authorization, while investigating and resolving complex discrepancies related to obligations, collections, and disbursements requiring intricate adjustments.
Additional duties encompass account reconciliation, payment processing and posting, plus examining and auditing accounting transactions while maintaining balanced general ledger accounts.

Requirements **
Candidates must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-06 level in federal service. Current federal employees must satisfy time-in-grade requirements, having served 52 weeks at GS-06 within the past 52 weeks (SF-50 documentation required). Former federal employees seeking reinstatement and those applying under VEOA provisions must also meet time-in-grade criteria.
