**Overview**
Northrop Grumman's Space Sector seeks a skilled FPGA/ASIC Electrical Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering Avionics department in Dulles, VA. This 100% onsite role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge Command and Data Handling (CD&H) products for space applications. Position includes a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, 10% travel, and potential relocation assistance.

Responsibilities **
• Conduct research, requirements analysis, and systems architecture development • Perform design, coding, and test bench creation for space-grade FPGA/ASIC systems • Execute verification, synthesis, and place & route processes • Translate system requirements into programmable logic specifications • Develop comprehensive design documents and test specifications • Collaborate on mission-critical projects within our pioneering aerospace team

Requirements **
**Level 3
Qualifications :** • Bachelor's degree + 5 years experience OR Master's + 3 years OR PhD + 1 year • VHDL design or advanced verification experience for FPGAs • Recent hands-on VHDL experience (within 3 years) • Expertise in VHDL design for aerospace/space environments • Proficiency in complete FPGA design flow: RTL/gate level simulation, synthesis, place and route, static timing analysis, power analysis • Proven architecture definition or team leadership experience
