The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified accountant to join our team in Loma Linda, California. This federal position offers the opportunity to serve our nation's veterans while advancing your accounting career in a stable government environment.

Responsibilities **
This accounting role involves supporting the financial operations of the Department of Veterans Affairs. You'll work with federal accounting systems and procedures while contributing to the mission of serving America's veterans. The position is available at GS-09 or GS-11 levels depending on qualifications and experience.

Requirements **
**
Education :** Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (business administration, finance, or public administration) with 24 semester hours in accounting coursework. Up to 6 hours of business law may be included in the 24-hour requirement.
**Alternative
Qualifications :** Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training providing professional accounting knowledge. Must also have one of the following: 24 semester hours in accounting/auditing courses, CPA or Certified Internal Auditor certification, or substantial accounting coursework (15+ hours) with demonstrated full-performance level experience.
**Federal
Requirements :** Current federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at GS-07 for GS-09 positions, 52 weeks at GS-09 for GS-11 positions). SF-50 documentation required. Former federal employees seeking reinstatement and VEOA applicants must also meet these requirements.
