Responsibilities As an Automotive Production Manager, you will lead our reconditioning facility during the evening shift, ensuring that our operational processes are efficient and of the highest quality. Your role will involve: - Crafting and executing a strategic vision for the reconditioning department that aligns with our sales and production objectives. - Leading lean production initiatives and advocating for standardized work practices and continuous improvement. - Identifying areas of waste and implementing strategies to enhance quality, minimize cycle times, and boost efficiency. - Establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform decision-making and optimize production. - Collaborating with leadership to develop scalable systems and processes to support our growth. - Mentoring and empowering team leads to manage their teams effectively, building a culture of high performance. - Ensuring that all reconditioning processes adhere to our quality standards and are completed on schedule. - Overseeing departmental budgets and resource allocation, as well as maintaining equipment. - Working with various departments to synchronize production schedules with customer demand.
Requirements To be successful in this role, you should have: - A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in lean manufacturing operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership position. - A proven track record of implementing 5S methodologies, standardized work processes, and waste reduction techniques. - Strong analytical skills to utilize data in driving operational improvements. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and engagement among team members.
