As part of our innovative Product Accounting Team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial reporting landscape at Stripe.
Responsibilities : As a Data Insights Analyst within our Product Accounting division, you will be instrumental in ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of our global financial performance. Your main responsibilities will include: - Facilitating efficient financial closures and margin analysis through advanced data analytics and visualization techniques. - Transforming complex datasets into actionable insights, becoming the go-to data expert for gross margin accounting. You will analyze trends, conduct research, and create visual representations that meet the needs of accounting and finance stakeholders. - Implementing automated anomaly detection processes to pinpoint potential inaccuracies in financial results. - Leading cross-functional initiatives, collaborating with teams in FP&A, Financial Systems, and Product Engineering to uncover opportunities for enhanced operational efficiency. - Independently investigating system disruptions and driving both immediate and long-term solutions. - Developing robust testing strategies to meet analytic-based audit requirements.
Requirements : We are looking for a candidate with a solid foundation in Accounting and a knack for data analysis. If you possess the following qualifications, we encourage you to apply: - 5-7+ years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or industry roles. - A B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) or CA qualified. - Proficiency in leveraging data analytics tools and techniques to drive insights and decision-making.
