Responsibilities **
As a Civil Engineer with the Department of Energy, you will apply engineering principles to support critical energy projects and infrastructure development. You'll work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure projects meet technical specifications and regulatory standards while contributing to the nation's energy security objectives.

Requirements **
**
Education :** Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or equivalent curriculum including differential and integral calculus plus advanced coursework in at least five areas: statics/dynamics, strength of materials, fluid mechanics/hydraulics, thermodynamics, electrical fields/circuits, materials properties, or comparable engineering sciences.
**Alternative
Qualifications :** Combination of education and experience demonstrating thorough knowledge of physical/mathematical sciences underlying engineering, validated through one of the following: • Current Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or Professional Engineer (PE) registration • Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination • 60+ semester hours in physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences • Bachelor's degree in related scientific field (engineering technology, physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, geology) plus 1+ year professional engineering experience under supervision
