**Overview**
Esri Canada is seeking a talented Data Specialist to strengthen our Assessment team in Maria, Quebec. This remote-friendly position reports to the Director, Software Development Assessment and focuses on creating robust data infrastructure that powers advanced analytics and data-driven capabilities. You'll be instrumental in building scalable data pipelines while working in an enterprise software environment that supports spatial analytics and GIS solutions.
**Responsibilities**
You'll architect and implement dependable data pipelines and integration systems that fuel analytics, modeling, and product functionality. Your role involves optimizing data models, warehouses, and transformation processes to guarantee performance and accuracy. You'll handle massive datasets from diverse sources, ensuring quality and analytical readiness through comprehensive cleaning and integration processes.
Collaboration is key as you'll partner with development teams and platform specialists to embed data capabilities into production systems. You'll monitor and enhance pipeline performance while developing sophisticated models using machine learning techniques including regression, classification, and time series analysis. Converting complex analytical results into compelling visualizations and actionable insights for varied audiences will be essential.
Additionally, you'll support model deployment and maintenance in production environments while staying current with emerging data engineering technologies and best practices.
**Requirements**
Candidates should possess strong experience in data engineering, analytics, and statistical modeling. Proficiency with data pipeline development, ETL processes, and both structured and unstructured data handling is essential. Knowledge of machine learning techniques, data visualization tools, and enterprise software environments is highly valued.
