**Overview**
Huawei Technologies Canada Co., Ltd. seeks a Senior Principal Technical Planning Manager to join our Computing Data Application Acceleration Lab in Markham, ON. Our lab is building a world-class data analytics platform through three specialized teams, driving innovations in software-hardware integration and optimizing data performance across storage and runtime environments. We're also advancing next-gen GPU architecture for gaming, cloud rendering, VR/AR, and Metaverse solutions while enhancing algorithm performance industry-wide.

Responsibilities **
• Monitor emerging AI/ML technology trends and academic research, producing comprehensive technology analysis reports • Lead evaluation and integration of innovative AI/ML technologies and approaches • Partner with stakeholders to craft strategic technical roadmaps and guide cross-functional AI/ML project teams • Assess current challenges and future requirements while building partnerships with university researchers and industry experts • Spot new investment prospects and champion technology team growth and funding expansion • Cultivate an innovative, improvement-focused environment within the AI/ML organization

Requirements **
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with strong technical foundation • Proven R&D experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning fields • Background in heterogeneous computing (CPU/GPU/NPU), high-performance AI architecture, Big Data, and Graphics Processing preferred • Sharp technology instincts with ability to quickly analyze complex data and produce detailed insight reports • Excellent communication and presentation capabilities for working with varied internal and external partners • Flexibility to work within global teams and actively participate in industry conferences for trend monitoring
Base salary ranges from $190,000 to $350,000 based on education, experience and demonstrated expertise.
Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (full-time)
