**Responsibilities**
Reporting to the Research Manager, you'll contribute to meaningful research initiatives within the prehospital and EMS environment. Your primary focus will involve partnering with our research team to select compelling research topics, conducting thorough literature reviews, and analyzing relevant data. You'll utilize STATA software to examine prehospital/EMS datasets and create scientific research abstracts suitable for submission to nationally recognized prehospital conferences. This internship offers valuable exposure to public health research, social determinants of health, and prehospital patient care topics. You'll receive ongoing mentorship and feedback to enhance your data analysis techniques and scientific writing abilities while engaging with our highly motivated research professionals.
**Requirements**
We seek candidates currently enrolled in graduate-level programs in public health, epidemiology, or related disciplines. Essential qualifications include hands-on experience with STATA software and foundational knowledge of NEMSIS EMS data collection standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates meticulous attention to detail in data analysis and research methodology, coupled with outstanding communication abilities and collaborative teamwork skills. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and eagerness to acquire new competencies through independent learning are crucial.
